| phungus's Full Review: Epiphone Pr-100 Acoustic Guitar |
The Epiphone PR-100 acoustic guitar is an excellent beginner's guitar. If you are just learning how to play, and want a good guitar at a fair price, you should look into this one. Epinions says the price is $249, but if you pay that much at your local music shop, you are getting ripped off.
The PR-100 is a no-frills guitar. It is not electric and has no fancy design patterns on its body. However, its deep, rich tone is unbeatable when compared to other brands of guitars with similiar prices.
The neck of the guitar is fit just right for your hand (mine are somewhat big). It is not too small and definitely not too big, and its smooth finish lets you easily slide your hand on it. The fret board is clearly marked and very well balanced.
My only complaint about this guitar is that its body is HUGE. If you are kind of small, you will feel yourself having to climb over this thing to play it. The good side of this huge body is that it is able to create loud, deep tones that you wouldn't hear from most low-end guitars.
