A Epiphone masterpiece for 500$ !!

Pros:Well build, wonderful look ans excellent sound and sustain

Cons:nothing

The Bottom Line: If you play Blues, Jazz or fusion, or even early rock'n roll, buy it, you won't regret it !!

If you buy Sheraton, you don't buy a Gibson. You buy an original Epiphone Sheraton with its own personality.
If you are searching for an entry level ES335 you will probably want to change the pick-ups because it doesn't sound like a Gibson 335.
But the best thing to do is to consider the Sheraton as it is: A fantastic 500$ (600 € in Europe) arch top with its own incredible sound, and sustain. A wonderful piece of instrument very easy to play because it sounds as soon as you plug it in a GOOD tube amp (fender family tube amps do it very very well).
You don't need any pedal here if not a volume pedal. As far as I'm concerned I play it on stage with a boss volume pedal in the crunch channel (drive on 3/4) of a Fender Hotrod Deluxe. With the pedal up I have a good clean sound for rythm, and with the pedal down this axe begin to sing!! Never ending sustain on any bending, and a wonderful fat tone.
The guitar as a good dynamic and you can be gentle on the string it will still play loud and clear.
The neck position is ideal for blues chorus as it is. With the middle position you can close the tone of the bridge pickup until you reach a good tone balance for clean rhythm. Very easy to do anyway and that's all you need for Chicago blues!
I've always been a "Fender addict".
And I have good fender guitars at home, but with the Sheraton it's been love at the first note!
