| flamingdeath's Full Review: Fender 69 Telecaster Thinline Electric Guitar |
For those of you considering one of these guitars, I can recommend it without reservation. It is undoubtedly one of the best I've ever owned. Sounds great, strings remain playable long after they'd have been trashed on another guitar. And, the thing just looks so darn cool...dark mahogany with pearl pickguard.
Gripes: Volume and tone knob placement could be better...hard to do volume tricks with the current placement. Finish could be a little tougher. And, those brass sleeves in the back where the string ends anchor fall out when you change strings. That's it.
The sound is incredible...this guitar fits with blues, country, surf rock, and even jazz when you pull the switch up to the neck pickup. And, because of the light weight, at the end of the night of gigging, you don't feel like you're shoulder and back are going to go out.
Run, don't walk to your nearest Fender dealer and buy this guitar today.
