Nikon is considered to be the standard by many, and the F4 is one of the reasons why. Under extreme use conditions, and very heavy volume shooting, when everything else in your bag has folded their tents, the F4 will not miss a beat. It's as reliable as dirt. Almost nothing will surpass the Nikon system of lenses, backs, and other accessories. The quality of the lenses and accessories are every bit as good as the camera body itself.
The only true drawback to this camera is it's considerable weight. With the motor drive attached, it can feel like you're carrying an anvil while you're shooting sporting events, or hiking someplace. The auto focus is just a tiny bit slow, compared to the latest offerings.
