I've had this camera for about a year and a half now and I must say that I was skeptical at first. But as soon as I saw the images, It made me a believer. I'm an advanced amateur and I do a lot of shooting, mainly landscape and wildlife. Right now I've coupled it with my 80-200 2.8(tripod collar) and it's cheetah fast. People told me to start out with a beginner camera, screw them! I started out with a PRO camera, who said that you have to start out with a beginner..Heck! if your really into photography, you should get the best of the best and this is the best. But if your just trying it out because of curiosity then rent one and I bet after you see the images, you'll go directly to the store and buy one ( make sure you buy a Nikkor lens too, Nikon body and Nikon glass is the perfect combination.) If my F5 breaks down, I will get another F5 in a second.
