The Nikon F5 is definitely a great camera. I work in a camera store and I get a chance to play with just about every new camera that comes out. I personally own the F5 and love it. It is built like a tank, which is good, but can also be a drawback. It is not a light camera, if you want a lot of the features of the F5 but with a smaller price tag and a lot lighter, you might consider the F100. The F100 is also known as the F5 lite to many people. A lot of professionals ran out right away and bought an F100. It's a great backup camera to your F5, or even a replacement. One drawback to both of these cameras, as well as the N90s, is the lack of a built in flash, which is understandable. However, the flash that you would want for these cameras is the Nikon SB-28 which will run you about $399 bucks. Ouch.
If you have the dough and the desire to become a professional or are already a pro go out and buy this camera as soon as possible!
