I am as hardcore as it gets when it comes to RPG's. And much like someone who's be jilted when it comes to love I'm usually a little standoffish when it comes to RPG's on something like the gameboy. That being said, Square Enix put out on hell of a product this time. There is something fundamentally wrong to me with a GBA game being this good. This RPG is better than some of the other garbage I've played on the PS, or PS2. The concept alone for the characters is fresh and new. I haven't seen anyone fracture the 3rd wall like this since Nicenza and Deadpool. Imagine the best parts of D&D and chess blended together in one happy place. And best of all it never gets old. You can replay this game all you want and it's never the same game twice. The amount of control that you get over characters and the world itself it awe-inspiring.
On top of all that the weapons, job-classes (yeah they're back), and abilities make this game one for the ages. You can drop 80 hours on this game without missing a beat. Great for long trips, for using when your girl is on the phone, or when you have to stand in line for hours. Buy this game, buy it now, and make someone happy for Christmas as oppossed to buying some god=awful gift that they'll have to return in a few days
