| theotherpage's Full Review: Frigidaire FDB750RC Slim-Line 24 in. Built-in Dish... |
I just picked up one of these units last week. Our local Sears had them on sale for 229.00.
This unit by far is not cheap in quality. It looks REALLY nice. Its EASY to load because there is no water tower to work around.
What cought my eye was the rinse locations. There is a bottom Rinse Fan, a Rinse Fan in the middle, under the top rack, and there is a rinse sprinkler on the very top of the machine.
The tub is plastic, but most washing machines are plastic now days. I rate the machine at about 8 on noise. (Scale from 1 to 10).
Now lets talk about how clean this machine does.
I had a mixing bowl that I had left out for ummm, about a week. (Yes, I hated to do dishes). This Bowl had dough in the bottom that had dried up and got crusty, a spoon would just barly scrape it. After one wash, set on "pots and pans", the bowl came out clean. I also found someones cerial bowl that had spegetios stuck to the bottom, and was growing mold, I was able to pick out the "o"s, but alot of dried up crusty stuff was still stuck to the bottom, the machine washed it all off as well.
I think the secret to this machines success is not only the multiple rinse locations, but the preheat option. This machine will heat the water up to 140 degress regardless what the temp. of the water in your house is set to.
Another secret to its success is the filteration system. It filters 100 percent of the wash water to remove food particles as small as coffee grounds, so there is no need to pre-rinse your dishes.
The filter is also self cleaning, so you don't need to worry about replacing it.
I really like everything about this machine. It has a "clean" indicator light on the front. This will keep your kids from yelling "Mom... Are the dishes in the washer clean?" sound familiar?
Another handy feature is a built in delay timer. You can set a "delayed" wash, for up to 3 hours. This works out great if you have a family taking showers, you can just set the amount of time desired, and walk away. The washer will come on after everybody is done with their showers! :)
Bottom line, if you looking for a dishwasher that WILL clean dishes, looks good, and does not cost an arm and a leg, this will work for you!
For the retail price of 149.00, and a sale price of 129.00, you really can't go wrong with this unit. I highly recommend it!
