Pros: Looks nice, was quiet and washed well.
Cons: VERY short life span and no help from Frigidaire. Stay away!
The Bottom Line: Stay away from the Frigidaire front loaders. They may do a great job washing but when they need repairs, it's VERY expensive, as much as a brand new washer.

My wife and I wanted a washer we felt would last, looked good and performed well. Everything we knew and read about Frigidaire washers led to the purchase of the front loading models.
When it was working it did work well, wasn't too loud (we have a smaller house), generally didn't have any problems. Just a couple of weeks ago (Oct. 2006) the rear bearings broke apart suddenly making a very loud banging noise. When the technician came out to look at it he said it was too difficult to work on in the house and would have to be hauled away to his shop for repairs and that the parts and labor involved would come to around $250 - $300. We hesitantly gave the go-ahead to repair it but after he had it in his shop and took it apart, he found more parts on the front end of the basket had also been destroyed when it initially went out of balance from the destroyed rear basket parts. Now the estimate was a minimum of $550 for the repair.
This is entirely unacceptable for any durable good to only last three years...and when we contacted Frigidaire about helping, they just simply stated it was outside of the warranty period and hung up. I've written to them and we did receive an email saying they're were sorry for the performance issues and said they hope this wouldn't put us off buying another Frigidaire product. I'm sorry, but how stupid does someone have to be to keep buying a product that doesn't work long, or get any reparations for the short life cycle?
To Frigidaire.....we will not buy another of your products.
