What do you get when you combine professional medium format camera and an autofocus zoom point and shoot? Some would say that you would call it the Fugi GA645Zi. This new addition to the Fugi line has to make them proud. This is probably one of the greatest cameras created to date.
The Fugi GA645Zi is the only medium format AF camera in the world with a built in zoom lens, an razor sharp 55-90 f/4.5-6.9 Super EBC Fujinon, covering focal length from semi-wide to medium tele. Amazingly compact for a camera providing a 2 1/4 x 1 5/8 inch format that's 2 1/2 times the size of 35mm, it uses an ingenious active/passive autofocus and incorporates a centrally placed, auto-parallax-compensating zoom finder in it's elegant titanium clad body.
A masterpeice of design with top mounted mode control offering program, apreture priority, manual, and slow speed sync settings, plus a convienent up down exposure control dial. All of which make this Fugi especially easy to use. The Zi also features a big bright full information finder wich consists of a large, back mounted lcd display panel. Also, a built in pop up flash, auto rewind, auto first fram positioning, hot shoe and PC outlet, 3 stop exposure compensation, and even a buzzer that lets you know when the lens cap is still on! This last feature has saved my batteries on more than a couple occasions.As you would assume any professional camera would have the Fugi Zi has built in data recording capabilities that imprint the focusing distance, exposure, flash, date, and time for each exposure. The electronically contrlled shutter has speeds from 1-1/700 seconds (1/400 at full aperature) plus a 10 second self timer.
The Fugi GA645Zi is one of the few pro cameras that will give excellent results even in the hands of the worst photographer. So wether you an amature or a pro, the Fugi Zi is an excellent fit for all hands.
