Pros: Large Display, nap alarm
Cons: poorly designed button layout
The Bottom Line: If you never hit snooze and always get up at the first ring, it is a great value, otherwise you may be in for some late mornings.

| krkoehler's Full Review: General Electric 7-4853 Clock Radio |
This alarm clock has many good features, but they may be outweighed by the poor button design which makes it all to easy to turn the alarm off when you really wanted to hit snooze. The main buttons for the alarms (2) are push buttons rather than toggles, which in itself is a little clumsy. You must push them down once to turn the alarm on, and push and hold for 3 seconds to turn the alarm off. The kicker is that the "on/off" button (also controls the radio portion) is only an inch away from the snooze bar, and if you hit the on/off button while the alarm is sounding, you have just turned it off until the next day.
The good features of the clock are the variable volume to the alarm tone (increases in volume over 30-40 seconds), one touch nap alarm, and the huge numbers.
