sunrisdlrlr's Full Review: General Electric Wireless Optical Mouse (HO97990)
This mouse was very easy to set up, taking only a couple of minutes. This was my first wireless mouse and I really liked that feature, plus the ergonomic design was very comfortable and it moved smoothly and quickly. I would've been very happy with this mouse if the batteries lasted longer than 2 weeks! The ones that came with the mouse had an expiration date of 2007, but within days they were dead. I thought maybe they were defective or cheap quality so I bought and installed new alkaline batteries and it began working just fine. I assumed I wouldn't have to replace them again for a while. However, in less than 2 weeks the mouse started to become unresponsive and jerky. Surely, I thought, it couldn't be the batteries already! I checked them on a tester and sure enough they were toast. I replaced them (again) and the mouse started working fine, but for how long? After reading several other reviews it's become obvious that this is a common problem with this brand/model. I'm going to return it and will not buy another GE. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this product. Save yourself time and money by purchasing a different brand.
