We also purchased this camera because of the Gateway name and the great pricing. I guess you get what you pay for. The first camera would not focus, pictures were awful. Called customer service and was informed that we were beyond the 15 day return policy, even though this was a Christmas gift, no exceptions. Only after I contacted the Better Business Bureau did I get a response from Gateway. I agreed to send it back for a new camera. Well after 2 weeks passed I called to find out what was happening, they didn't say so but I believe they lost it. Next day I received a call they shipped me a new one. Great, if this one worked I would be happy. Wrong! The second one was worse than the first one, once powered up it wouldn't shut off, zoom only worked part of the time, still couldn't focus the camera. This time I insisted I wanted a refund, the rep that called me agreed to give us one. They sent me a UPS return label, it took a week to get it from MO to CA. I still haven't received the refund. I have been telling everyone I know NOT to buy anything from Gateway. We do have a Gateway PC and never had a problem, but with this last experience, I won't even consider buying from them again. Product quality and customer service is everything to me when making any purchase, Gateway has rated a "0" on both!
