Pros:Washable plates, LED display.
Cons:Dies too soon, manufacturer can only do less than 50% to help for a replacement.
The Bottom Line: I guess the real reason for being upset is because the eSalton comapany who distributes the Foreman grills doesn't really do much for their customers when they are in need.
I received a Foreman grill for Christmas of 2006. I loved it!! I loved the fact that it has removable plates that make it easier to wash. I love the fact that it has a display that shows the temperature and a count down timer. I use on a regular basis and have done so over the last year and a couple of months. Unfortunately this past week I went to plug it in and it did not turn on it has died on me. No warning, just would not turn on. The outlet works fine and I know that there is plenty of voltage to the unit, but it just wont turn on. I called the manufacturer and told them of my situation and they told me that because the warranty was up in December of 2007 (just a few months ago)I'm S.O.L., however they will let me purchase one from them at a discounted rate of $69.99 . $40.00 off the original price from over a year ago. I can find them cheaper on line starting at $59-65. I can't imagine that the maker of a product gives less than 50% off of their product towards broken ones and expects to keep loyal customers. I guess I expected them to be a little more sympathetic than less than 50% off. I would like to know if there are any others out there who have come across this issue with this particular product.
