Thanks so much for your advice! I ended up buying the guitar (cutaway version) and it arrives tomorrow. I also got the Elixir strings you suggested, which arrived first, and I have to say they *definitely* feel more comfortable. I've never had anyone be so responsive and willing to help answer my questions while tolerating my ignorance. Thanks a million! I hope one day I can return the favor!

Believe it or not, I think I'm going to agree with you on this one. I was playing some regular Songbirds recently, and was only moderately impressed with the mahogany ones. But this must be the mystery guitar I found: a rosewood Gibson Songbird or Songwriter with simple appointments, an ebony fingerboard, and a really nice sound. Thanks for helping me solve the mystery. Another excellent review--
