Not what you would expect

I have to admit, I like ATI products, and I have always bought ATI, but as far as price/performance these days, this is not the card to get. The Maxx is indeed a good product, and does perform, but not nearly as much as one would expect.

In the same price range, the TNT2, or it's successor the Geforce are much better products. At 1024x768, the Maxx has unsatisfactory performance, compared to a 32mb Geforce, this is unsatisfactory.

As far as the features go, it has none. Virtually all other ATI products have Video out options, and even Video in. I would give this card a higher rating if it had this. If you need a card for DVD, this is not the card. ATI wins hands down for DVD support/software, but unfortunately, the MAXX has no tv outs.
