Ahhh the G400. Although this card was not that fast compared to the rivals, it offered the option of BUMP MAPPING. This is a way of making a flat surface look 3-D with shading effects. This cuts down on the poly count as to make the computer do better graphics and not cut the speed much. This effect is so remarkably beautiful it is astounding. But look out the much glamour comes at a big price, a 40-50% drop in frame rates. That really sux if you cant tell. This board is already not as fast as its competitors and then your going to slow it down? The more complex the game the more apparent the slow down. Like in Slave Zero, it is SO VERY PRETTY but you see the game like a serice of screen shots.
Bottom Line: A very impressive idea with the bump mapping but its execution is flawed.
