| jack_gross's Full Review: Matrox Millennium G400, (16 MB) AGP Video Card |
I bought this card about two months ago to replace my ancient 4mb Matrox Mystique 220 that had served me well for about three years. I started my computer and enabled my 4x AGP setting in my computers BIOS and booted into windows to install the software. Once the drive were installed I play a DVD (must have a DVD drive) to see how well the cards decoder worked. I was amazed. The next day I removed my special DVD decoder card because I didn't need it any more. Next I opened up the Matrox graphics demo to see how it looked. As I turned up the resolution my jaw came closer and closer to the ground. Think your 19 inch monitor is cool? Try on dual 17 inch Viewsonic monitors for size. If you need to multitask this is the card for you. Drag one window to the second monitor and open another on the main screen. My bogged down Pentium II 400 easily power the two monitors and executes multiple programs with ease. The card also comes with an adapter that attaches to the second monitor port that allows you to use a TV as a second monitor or a clone of your main monitors screen. Bottom line, the GeForce cards don't stand a chance
