Pros: Smooth flavor, no after taste, a exquisite spirit on the rocks or for cocktails
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Grey Goose is the Lexus of Vodkas. Its price is higher but you pay for quality not quantity. An excellent addition to any fine spirit collection.
Grey Goose is a marvelous addition to any liquor cabinet. This is not a Vodka to drown in. Its one to savor and enjoy like a fine wine. It is definitely the best vodka on the market.
I accidentally came across this marvelous spirit on a trip to Austin, where I had asked for a Cajun bloody mary. The server asked if I would like a premium vodka as instead of well vodka. I told them "of course," and they promptly brought me my drink. I knew the instant I took drink it wasn't ABSOLUTE, which happens to be my second favorite vodka.
I asked the server what type of "premium" vodka they were using and she looked stunned, as though I just stepped off the boat, and replied "Well Grey Goose, of course!" .
Since, I keep my bar stocked. This is not vodka you throw in punch for a party. This is a "on the rocks," cocktail liquor. Its extremely smooth, and has hints of citrus, all though it is so smooth, its hard to tell you are drinking any alcohol.
If you have a cocktail party, like your vodka on the rocks, in martinis, or for drinks that necessitate an extremely superb vodka this is the one for you.
I will warn that this isn't Heaven Hill, expect to pay more for the quality of this product. Its well worth it and is a wonderful addition to my collection of fine spirits.
