I purchased my 1st Haier dehumidifier in 3/06. It sounded like it was working but never collected any water-I returned that to the company 7/23/06.I also had to send a check for $14.99. They sent me a 2nd HD451 again that unit sounded like it was working but never picked up any water. I even brought it to someone else's house because I couldn't believe two didn't work.These 1st 2 times customer service was very helpful. When the 2nd unit didn't work I called & they offered to send me a third or give me a refund - what they did not tell me is the warranty on the 3rd unit would be 1 year from the purchase date of the 1st unit not from the delivery date of the new unit. I took the dehumidifier and of course IT STOPPED WORKING!!! This one did work for about 8 months & then stopped collecting water & when I called Haier to explain the problem I was told my warranty was up. I asked for a supervisor explained my history(which is all documented in their system) she sent an email to the corp. office asking them to contact me explaining I wanted a refund. I waited 10 days & called corp. myself they claimed nothing was ever sent to them. I once again explained everything & everyone I spoke to & was told to to get it serviced by an Authorized Haier repair place to which "Jamie" couldn't tell me where there was one.I called back customer service who read me the names of the people I spoke to & that my complaint was sent to the corp. office so she did have all the info in front of her. I asked them to put in another request for someone to call me that was 8/28/07. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HAIER PRODUCTS TO ANYONE!!!!!
