Pros: -Elegant, feminine scent
-Everyone's not wearing it
-Interesting back story
Cons: Could be longer lasting. Might help to layer with body creme
I had never heard of this fragrance, and bought it on the spur of the moment without ever trying it first. I am so delighted! Hanae Mori is feminine, but not in that cloying floral way that so many women's fragrances can be. It is sooo elegant and lush.
It opens fruity and sweet, with lots of berry notes, quickly followed by jasmine and rose. As the scent develops, it mellows into a beautiful, complex vanilla. Very sexy, in an understated way. The vanilla scent is deep, rich and fairly long-lasting. It's not super-long lasting, but the scent does linger. It's that type of thing where you apply it in the morning, then by mid-afternoon, you catch just the slight lingering scent on your sleeve or wrist, and it's enough to remind you how much you LOVE the fragrance....so you apply more.
I was so intrigued that there was this lovely fragrance by someone I had never heard of - Hanae Mori - so I did a little research and found out that Hanae Mori is a legendary Japanese designer, the only Japanese woman accepted into the Paris Haute Couture world. Her designs - like her epynomous perfume - are classically feminine, yet elegant and exotic.
I love to wear this fragrance because it's unique and it's not something that everyone it wearing. It's gentle and feminine, but at the same time lush and exotic - which is often what I like to express.
