Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, good sound
Cons: weak bass, harsh highs
The Bottom Line: In my search for the perfect replacement for my Pro45's the KSC-50 comes up a little short.

| mark1620's Full Review: Koss KSC-50 Consumer Headphones |
I've been looking for a pair of hat-friendly headphones that could rival the sound of my Optimus Pro45's (Koss SportaPro) and I read several favorable reviews of these. I figured that Koss made a good product so I bought them without trying them out first.
In comparison to my Pro45's, the bass is weak and unimpressive, requiring boosting by my Archos Jukebox, which compensates some, but doesnt really do much for the lowest of frequencies, which the clips are unable to reproduce.
The mids are decent and pronounced. Nothing earth-shaking, but acceptable.
The highs are slightly harsh and tinny (or should I say titaniumy) but level out with some adjustment from the tone control.
In the area of comfort, these headphones excel. I would like to see some gel padding on the clips, but I can wear them for long periods of time without fatigue.
If you are looking for natural sound; tight bass, clean mids and clear highs, keep looking! If you want something that sounds better than what your walkman came with, they are a good choice, but only if you have a mega-bass or bass booster function.
