Pros: Long, gold-plated cable. Comfortable earcups, and great sound quality.
Cons: cable may wear after a while. Maybe b/c I was too rough with it though.
The Bottom Line: Great headphones, don't even think twice. The Labtec Elite 840s have a long cable, superb comfort, excellent sound quality, and are incredibly cheap.

As an ex-gamer (although I still play a bit, just not so much) I would frequently sport these headphones at LAN parties, and would often try on my friends' headphones just to see the difference. Several pairs of 'phones I tried on were $60 or more and they always felt and sounded CHEAP compared to the Elite 840s. The comfortable velvet ear cups allow for extended wearing time without that, "Ow my headphones are killing my ears," sensation one frequently gets with normal headphones. I also play the bass so I'm proud to say that the Elite 840s support amazing dynamic sound, including deep bass, at crystal clear, undistorted quality. Even at high volumes the sound is smooth. I'd take these over a 5.1 surround system anyday. My last pair I had were stepped on, so the band broke but some hot glue made a temporary repair. Now I need a new pair of headphones and I'm not interested in anything else. The ONLY downside to these headphones is that after 8-12 months of FREQUENT use the connection may wear, so get a new 1/8" gold-plated stereo connector at Radio Shack and maybe find someone to help you split open the end and reconnect it. Fixes it every time, just make sure you or someone knows what they're doing. Just to be on the safe side even, you could buy two pairs of these headphones and you won't regret it I garauntee it.
