In choosing the best choice for a monitor for my new gaming computer, I investigated on a number of monitors, including the latest LCDs. Typically, I use the computer for numerous tasks such as web surfing, email, online games, and even hooking up my laptop for working from home. And since I am a systems engineer, I often use the computer for writing and evaluating documents, creating programming software, and playing movies and videos.
The Dell/Sony P1110 is an outstanding monitor for all my usage. It offers high quality text, superb colors, and vivid images. I have my monitor displayed at 1280 x 1024 at 85 Hertz. What a wonderful monitor when you have so much viewing space, that you can maintain two websites open side by side quite nicely. You also don't have to scroll as much or spend time looking for the next inactive window you want to open.
I have this monitor for a few years now, and it is still working just like day one. I highly recommend this monitor to all.
