Pros: Looks cool on my desktop

Cons: bad quality of slide scan and and copies

I have had this scanner for about a year now and keep hoping that I have overlooked something to make this scanner work better. It looks so great, but performs so average for the money. Was hoping to do decent slide scans, but all of them have streaks. The photo scans are OK, but I don't like the software that comes with it. And copies are slow and of poor quality. Slow is also the keyword for pictures scanned at high resolution. Plus HP has not answered any of my email questions. Setup was easy though, and I have no issues with Windows XP Home Edition compatibility. Buttons on side of scanner, though, have never worked. I am so disappointed and ready to claim my losses and sell this scanner.
