Great little camera. Really simple to use, and takes great pictures. I've tried several size memory cards in it and works well with all of them, even the 512mb that I have in it now.
The memory card slot is inside the battery compartment, so when you open to gain access to the card, you need to re-confirm the date and time in the camera. Nothing major, just a bit of a pain.
Speaking of batteries, it loves them! It can chew through a set of non-rechargable alkalines in as little as 10 shots! Definetly go with the high end batteries as they tend to last a lot longer compared to the price you'll be paying for them. Rechargables (high end, 2300mAh bare minimum) are the best way to go!
The best idea for getting your pictures out of the camera would be to use an SD Card Reader. It's faster that way, and it doesn't use any of your camera's batteries. Still, the native transfer speed isn't to bad.
The HP software that comes with the unit is functional for basic color and red-eye correction, but you'll want something more powerful for extensive corrections.
What you see through the viewfinder isn't exactly what you get, but it's pretty close. If you need to see exactly what you're going to get, use the display screen on the back of the camera.
