renz's Full Review: Hewlett Packard iPAQ h4155 Pocket PC
When I first started using the IPAC 4155, I thought it was great. It handled all my programs for work (with an additional card) and home. It was easy to set up and sync. It was also user friendly with easy directions on the pocket pc itself. Then, less than 20 days out from the warranty period the screen cracked for no reason. I babied this thing. I never dropped it. I carried it in a hard aluminum case and kept it from changes in temperature. No one else used it. The screen broke for no reason. I thought it was me but I started reading opinions from others on the net about how their screens did the same thing. Now I do not think it was me at all.
I called HP. They wanted it sent in with no guarantee that it would be fixed for free. Just like it was in some of these other opinions, HP wanted $85 to look at it and possibly $200 to fix it. It was a big run around. No one really helped and no one was willing to look at it for free. I don't think I would buy one without an extended warranty. Most expensive paper weight I own now.
