With house training pups come accidents and stains. I looked at many of the steam cleaners on the market and decided the Hoover F5914-900 Steam Vac was my best choice. It was priced for my budget and I love it's powerful water extraction capabilities that leave a carpet barely damp once your finished.

The 6 rotating brushes are another feature that I prefer over one barrel type brush. With their spining action the carpet fibers are thoroughly scrubbed and not just brushed. The clean solution tank is easily removed to refill and easily replaced. The recovery tank is easy to empty once full and is pretty much no fuss. Once the recovery tank is full the automatic shutoff mechanism will shut off the suction thereby producing a higher pitched sound to alert you to empty the tank.

The Clean Surge button is an additional feature which I love for cleaning heavily stained spots.

It was very easy to put together and though it does have plastic parts I have no doubt that metal ones would add to the weight and restrict it's ease of usability. It comes with an easy to read manual, when in this day and age, many companies are publishing their product's manuals on line as opposed to including them with the product. 

It's ease of use and tools on board make it a very efficient appliance to have around.
