Pros: In the heart of Seattle with lots to do and see within a few blocks.
Cons: no parking
The Bottom Line: So much to do within walking distance. I need to go spend a few more days just to take it all in.

| protonsmom's Full Review: Bw Pioneer Square Hotel |
Just went on a cruise and spent a couple nights at the Pioneer Square Hotel before boarding our ship to Alaska.
I was looking for a place that had a lot to offer within walking distance since we did not have a car with us. This really was a great answer to that quest! All sorts of food, galleries and the port within just minutes of the front door. Also just a 4 block walk to Pikes marketplace and the large shopping mall in the center of town. The famous "Underground" tour starts just a block away in Pioneer Square.
We had a basic room with no view but the room was very large. Comfy King size bed and very nicely appointed. The place was very quiet and comfortable for the two nights we were there. It seemed to attract a older crowd. Even though it is a vintage building, everything inside was newly redone and very well kept. Design wise they stuck with the original look.
The rates were very reasonable and they do offer a AAA discount so remember to ask about that if you are a member. It was cheaper than staying in the big city hotels and had much more charm.
I found the staff to all be very helpful and friendly my entire stay. They even called me after I arrived at my room to make sure it was all to my liking. Whenever they saw me walk down the stairs they would greet me by name.
The single elevator was slow but I just used that as a excuse to always climb the stairs to our 4th floor room. Great exercise.
They had free wifi if you brought your own laptop and there was also a computer available for guests to use during the day down in the lobby. Came in very handy. TV in the room was large and had cable. It is nicely hidden in a armoire so if you are not interested in it, you don't even have to see it.
Each morning the breakfast room opened up and you could serve yourself a continental breakfast and coffee. Or you could walk across the street and have a big breakfast at a great restaurant, the choice is your's. Of course there is also a Starbucks on just about every corner.
If you do have a car with you, this hotel does not offer a parking lot. I know there was a pay lot nearby but I did not hear the rates. This would be a hassle if we had a vehicle with us.
