Not an average Best Western, this rather upscale hotel has small but nicely furnished rooms, good service and great location if you'd like to walk to Comedy clubs, trendy stores and restaurants, movie theatres and the House of Blues. If you don't have a car, the #2 city bus will take you into L.A. or off to Beverly Hills or even to the beach. Some of the rooms open to the pool (not recommended with young children) and they include continental breakfast.
If you are a tourist driving from LAX, I would recommend taking the 405 freeway north all the way to Sunset Blvd, then a right turn on Sunset to go east to the hotel a few miles. Not the shortest route...but you get to drive through the hills of Beverly and get a nice little tour!
