Stayed a couple of nights in Morgans, and though the rooms were a generous size, in general the atmosphere was kind of dark and gloomy. The rooms are very "80s" neo-deco in decor, with black, white and beige being the dominant colors. The hotel seems to be mostly populated with international tourists. The restaurant and room service is stratospherically expensive.
There was nothing particularly bad about our stay; it was just that for the price, many other premium hotels in the city, such as the Soho Grand, are much, much nicer. I haven't stayed in the Mondrian or the Hudson, also owned/managed by the same people as the Morgan, but I suspect they may be nicer.
