here is my configuration IBM Thingpad T21, 750MHz, 128Mb RAM, 8Mb Graphic card "S3 Savage IX",10Gb HDD and 13.3" LCD.
I have been using this second hand Thinkpad T21 for one mount.
Talking in general (having in mind that this is 2001 model), this ultra thin, light and compact design, portability and expansion capability laptop computer is worth the money I pay (about 400 US$).
On the backside there are all essential connectors you need starting from RS232, parallel ports along USB 1.1, S-video, PCMCI slots, Ultra bay, PS2 connectors for mouse and keyboard, Speaker etc which is good enough for even more demanding users.
At first glance, Intel 750MHz speed step processor promised powerful performance but then surprisingly I faced with fairly sluggish machine.
Lacking of some professional benchmarking tools, I performed many benchmark tests using PassMark Performance Test 5.
The final result was somewhere in boundaries of 70-80 points. Even adding additional RAM 256 memory (total of 384Mb) does not bring any significant score improvement.
As far as such things like durability, system stability as solid design and made are concerned this machine meets the high standards in its class and its age range.
