I purchased this software, because I thought it might be helpful, and it was supposed to be free. (See my review of TurboTax Deluxe for the rebate offer, and whether I've actually received the rebate.)
It coordinates well with TurboTax, is easy to install, and fairly easy to use.
But -- it requires information about the charity you may not have, nor need for the actual tax form. (Do you know the Zip code of your local Salvation Army or Goodwill store? For that matter, do you know the address of the local charity that picks up your used clothing at the door. They leave a receipt, but not necessarily one with their full name and address.)
But -- the values aren't plausible. For example, it assigns values of $5-$18 for a woman's purse (depending on condition -- but not style), while a usable purse only costs $3 at a thrift store. (Please, let's not debate what makes a purse "usable".)
For bras, ItsDeductible gives a range of $1-$9, depending on condition and type, while http://www.usc.salvationarmy.org/usc%5Cwww_usc_arc.nsf/0/80256D2C0037B69686256BD6006AD411?openDocument (from a google search) gives a range of $1-$3.
Towels: ItsDeductible has $0.50-$2, while the Salvation Army site has $0.50-$4.
If you independently value the items, and override the values ItsDeductible uses, then will keep track of them properly for you. But -- if you have TurboTax (above Basic, anyway), you can enter the values directly onto a worksheet for the property donation questionaire, so that isn't any better.
