I'm more than happy with my purchase of the id8. I'm powering them with a jle1200 pushing out 200watts at 2ohms, and a kenwood mpv8025 head unit. It's enough bass for personal enjoyment, and more than enough when i'm driving around on noisy streets. Everything people say about how good the sq is on the speakers is true. You get very clean, deep, tight bass. I was looking at these speakers and the jl w3v2 series, and I'm happy I bought this speaker. I put the id8 in a custom fiberglass enclosure. The installers were impressed with the amount of bass that was coming from one 8" sub. My installer went and told everyone that worked in the shop to listen to my sub.

I think some people have had quality problems with the connectors on the old version 2s, but the v3s look pretty good.
