Pros: Great picture sound & price. Easy setup that does not require a manual.
Cons: A better remote is needed, I can not dispose of my DSS remote.
Excellent picture quality, the sound is more than adequate for me. The ability to change the aspect ratio is an added plus that is welcomed. Component jacks are not all used in my case. I would like to have an additional s-video jack. Minimal set up time and a few adjustments were made. The only drawback it the ability to use the jvc remote to control the DSS the best I can do it turn on the DSS receiver and manually go through the channels there is no access to the DSS menu. I did my homework and checked out many other brands in my opinion I could do no better for the 32 flat screen in picture quality and $$ spent. I will put JVC to the top of my list.
Well it has been about 3 weeks now I did return the TV after a few days of viewing I notice what looked like wrinkles in the upper left and right side now and then. I took it back and replaced it with another, brought it home turned it on and in the screen with the solid blue background I noticed red semi circles on the bottom. It also had the same wrinkles. I took #2 set back and had the store set up a 3rd tv and it had the same red on blue screen marks! I wish it were different but I had to go with a Sony wega. I have no idea if the defects were a bad production run or if someone with a magnet got to close to the sets I had. The last set I viewed in the store did not have the wrinkles if it had lacked the red spots I would have taken it home. But after 3 sets I opted out of the JVC.
