There are two models that this fits the first is model #15969 and the second is model # 15989 both being Kenmore. Now the most significant difference between the two is the #15989 is equiped with the QuietGuard Insulation Elite Plus where #15969 only has the QuietGuard Elite. The QuietGuard Elite plus insulation is actually a small vent on the upper right corner in the front that allows air flow out of the machine. During the wash cycle when the sprayers are the most active the opening actually shuts keeping the noise level inside the Insulated Dishwasher. Both machines have Automaitc Temperature Control where the dishwasher heats the water as it is being passed through the machine. Both have Nylon coated racks versus PVC coating which can wear off after time. Both have a time delay however #15989 can be set from 0-12 hrs where as #15969 can only be set from 1-9 hrs. Model #15989 comes standard with a Full Three Year Warranty, Five year limited warranty on the Nylon coated racks, and a Full Lifetime Warranty on the tub and inner door against leaks. No other Dishwasher has a Full Three Year warranty, thats how confident Sears is about this machine. I recommend it 100%. As always be sure to purchase an additional Home Maintainence Agreement to protect your Appliances after they run out of the Warranty period.
