Pros: In my books for the price and features most defiantly worth suggesting to any one!
Cons: hard to close if installed wrong; removable toprack is hard to lock-back in place.
The Bottom Line: Look into this machine and compare all other machines in its price range and you will see you can't go wrong with it!

| luistm24's Full Review: Kenmore 16032 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher |
My stand point of this dishwasher as a sales associate at a Sears, I have got to say this is my best seller when it comes to features and price. This Kenmore is made by whirlpool so it does carry a pretty decent reputation behind it.
When it comes to noise it does a pretty decent job. When it comes to replacing an old D/W it will be quieter unless you are replacing or remodeling and put this machine in place of a Bosch or some other higher end D/W.
Another nice feature on this machine is the easy adjustment which gives you an extra 2" of clearance for the bottom rack for your taller dishes. Other brands such as Maytag, Kitchenaid, Bosch and Whirlpool also have a similar feature. Also when you don't have it adjusted up on this D/W, you can fit 9" dishes on the top rack. The next nice feature which I believe is a very important feature is the garbage disposal.
Why buy a D/W that you have to pre wash every dish you put in there? It kind of defeats the reason to why buy a new D/W. Comparing the this one(which is the same that you will find in the Whirlpool and Kitchenaid D/W's) to the other brands that have garbage disposals is that it allows you to foods that are 1/2" or smaller to get disposed of as too 1/8" on the Maytag and Amana and Jennair.
One of my favorite feature of this machine is the capacity. The Kenmore tall tub D/W's allow you to get up to 17 plate settings in it when you put them in correctly.
And to the people who have kids or have a restaurant or gets sick easily, this machine does have a sanitary wash which goes up to 160 degrees.
But my all time favor feature on this dishwasher is the smart wash which determines how dirty your dishes are and how many you have in there. So this feature will sensor and figure out how much water, electricity and detergent to use. By using this feature it can save you up to 4k gallons of water per year.
Now with all that said. The track record of this machine. The 2 years I've been selling them I've had a pretty good track record for my customers. In 2 year time I have sold close to 250 of this model. Out of that 250 no more then 15 of my customers who have gotten this machine who have had major problems with them from manufacture defects. I do get 1-3 calls a month from customers who have had this machine and something has happened from leaks from the seal to cracked tubs to pump problems to the most common problem which is detergent problem.
Now simple ways to go about most of these problems are first, if you have a leak from the seal, turn off your machine of course and look at the gasket and see where the outer side is wet and from there get an adhesive which is water proof and allow it to dry very well. That is if you want a quick solution with out calling out service. But Keep an eye on it!
If the pump isn't draining all the water don't be scared. There is suppose to be water in the bottom of the D/W so don't think that the pump or motor is broken. At the bottomed there is a device which controls the amount of water that stays in the machine. But if you notice that there is too much water in there that isn't draining out then call a service tech out to check the pump and motor!
And the last key point in the problems is if there is a crack on the tub. Don't bother calling out service because if you have a crack on the tub, you will find out as soon as you get the machine. Call your sales associate and they should correct it ASAP.
Now the most common problem...The detergent build up. This can come from multiple of things such as the water where you live and how many impurities it has in it to if you have a water softener. When you buy a D/w if its this one or any other one is to do run your machine with nothing inside to find out how much detergent to use because if you notice too much suds inside the tub when you open it up mid way through, you are using too much. And vice versa, if you don't see any at all either you have hard water or too many impurities in your water.
To let yal all know this machine comes with a standard 1 year parts and labor warranty from manufactures defects and workmanship. If you are building a house or remodeling your kitchen do the smart thing and not pick it up or have it delivered till the day of or before you are going to have it installed so that your warranty goes from the day it was delivered or picked up. Because if you do get it early and not put it in for couple of weeks or month, you will waste away that warranty! And that is no matter where you buy your machine from. If it is this D/W or any other one from Sears and most other company because they do hope you get it and not install it when you get it! So please keep that in mind!
