Pros: Very Quiet, Cleans very well, large tub, large baskets, nice basket features.
Cons: Long cycles, bad gasket design, non-configurable dry times, thermol fuse prone to failure.
The Bottom Line: Bad Gasket = leaks, thermol fuse failure = dishwasher down. Otherwise Quiet and cleaning ability are superior, but probably not worth it.

| qz9d2t's Full Review: Kenmore 16919 Built-in Dishwasher |
We've had this Kenmore Elite UltraWash 16919 for about 3 years now. It replaced the noisy one supplied by the house builder. We got 100 bucks off, so I think we paid $600 for it in 2001. It has performed well in many ways. It does clean the dishes very well, the large baskets hold lots of dishes in varying configurations, and the operation is very quiet. There are several drawbacks though. We have not had any leaks, but we've had the tub gasket pull off. It does seem a bad design as it is held in place flimsily. The soap does not always get washed out/used from the dispenser, but this is rare. The cycles are very long, running up to 2 hours. The Time Saver does a good wash job, but only has a 10 minute dry time, which is not enough to dry the dishes (the longer cycles has a 30 minute dry time). The last 2 months the dishwasher has died totally twice. Sears was going to charge $60 just to come out, so we went with a local repair, this ran us $125. 100 was for labor, and I've found the thermol fuse part for half their $25 cost and it seems simple to replace, although I'm not happy about it going this often. The repair place said it went due to over-heating. One main drawback to this all electronic design, is that you cannot go back and run through the dry cycle again (if you miss pouring off the excess/trapped water).
