Pros: I can do most of our household laundry in 3 loads. (Family of 7).
Cons: Lots of clothes go into dryer so Lots of clothes to fold in one load!
I never thought much of washers and dryers since my Maytags had worked for over 15 yrs just fine. But then putting some thought into it - I did see where the front loaders would use less water and the super capacity would be a plus my other machine was also large capacity but in no way compares to this front loader.
I purchased both the Washer (He5) and the Dryer (He4) - I also ordered the pedestals. I love the way you can "over-stuff" this washer and the clothes still come out clean. I also love the different choices in wash - being the length, the amount of heat in the water, even how much speed the spin cycle should be. I was told as long as I can close the door (using common sense of course) then it's fine to fill it that much with clothes. There's even time after you start your load where you can "add a garment". You must push "pause" before you can open the door. The machine will hold it's cycle and pause. The door will un-lock. The only downside of this is that a little bit of water will drip out when you do this. Since I'm aware of this I'm always prepared with a napkin to dry it off.
The only time I saw the "suds" code show up - which by the way corrects itself after it removes the excess soap, was when I put a bathroom rug in there that was previously washed by my old machine. There must of been excess soap still on it.
I have been a bit worried about the other reviews and the internal board breaking so I did get the extended warranty just in case. All the other front loaders don't seem to match up to this Kenmore.
A few weeks after we purchased ours (my Christmas presents) the new version came out (He6).
I love my Washer!
