Pros: Great toast, silencing option, looks nice
Cons: Too big for my kitchen but may be right for yours.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this microwave if you have room and want a combination microwave/toaster.

| roflol's Full Review: Kenmore 63292 / 63299 1200 Watts Microwave Oven |
What do you do when you've earned a $1200 bonus? You start replacing your ancient kitchen appliances, if you're me.
First off, I apologize for perhaps not being complete. I'm not doing reviews for the money or the compliments, I just want to share my experience. And I'm not a chef, I don't really cook in microwaves; I just heat and reheat. So here goes:
We'd had our Montgomery Ward 600-watt, 0.8 cu ft plain jane microwave since the mid 1980s and it did seem a miracle appliance at the time, but didn't have a turntable (and the Nordicware turntable accessory we bought was temperamental to say the least) and took eons to cook stuff, which it did unevenly. Still, I'm no chef and I'm extremely cheap - um, frugal, so was loathe to get something new when the old thing was still working. Then the bonus happened and I decided to pass the old Monkey Ward microwave to somebody who had absolutely nothing to burn their popcorn with. I did some research and liked the Toast-N-Wave - two appliances in one. My brother works for Sears, it was on sale, and the shipping cost was free via rebate at the time, so we ordered it online and it arrived less than a week later.
The Toast-N-Wave looked really nice, but it took up a lot of space on our meager counter, almost as much as the old microwave, just a bit shorter. The capacity was not that much bigger, just 0.1 cu ft. The toaster was GREAT... it actually toasted the bread instead of pretty much rebaking it (like our ancient Black and Decker Toast-R-Oven had been doing). My husband loved it. I was ecstatic that the sound could be turned off - oh bliss! No longer would those tattle-tale beeps tell EVERYbody in the house that I was making something. This was a feature I had been looking for, and here it was. This, plus the *real* toaster, plus the white exterior, plus the turntable should have turned me into a fan of this microwave. But it didn't. All I could see was how far it stuck out beneath our cabinet. I think the measurements were a little misleading because they don't tell you how far away from the wall it should be, and the back of it has a bumped out area which made it that much more deep..... So I sent it back.
So, based on my short experience, I would recommend it for the job it did with the toast and microwaving, and that silencing feature, but add about 4" to the depth measurement to be sure it fits in your kitchen.
As a post script, I considered a Spacemaker microwave also sold by Sears but got a different Kenmore model (65222 - I love it!!!) which is actually *smaller* outside than the Spacemaker yet has a larger interior, and also has the noise-off feature (which oddly enough was not listed in the details!). I hope to review this, as well as the GE/Walmart Digital Toaster Oven (recommended) that we bought to handle our toasting, when they are listed by epinions.
