endurance's Full Review: LandWare GoType! Pro (2600) Keyboard
I have had my Palm IIIe for quite a while, one thing I have really wanted is a keyboard. I now have a nice GoType for my IIIe!
Now despite what you have seen on consumer websites about high prices of keyboards, the Landware GoType is awesome! If you goto my website (www.happypalm.com) you can search for GoType and there is a article which will tell you how to get yourself a GoType for $45.00!
Now onto the actual keyboard. It is a decent size, I have large hands so I was worried that I would have an issue, and when I got my keyboard, it is perfect. There are function keys for hotkeying applications (Givens are Memo, Addres Book, To-Do, DateBook, Mail & Find), but you can configure extras using the ALT and SHIFT.
The Keyboard uses no batteries so you have no problem with "Ah the batteries in the keyboard are dead!" it uses a small amount of battery power from the Palm, when running at %80 battery power without keyboard, when you add it on it only goes down to %79. Very good.
It is a awesome keyboard. I can't say how much better it has made things. Give it a good look, it is worth the $45!
