Well, it's finally happened. Someone invented a wireless keyboard and mouse. What took so long? Those cords have been bugging me for years!
Introducing Micro Innovations Wireless Office Solution
My husband bought this set for my birthday after he caught me admiring a wireless mouse a few months beforehand. A friend of his, who happens to be a computer geek, recommended this particular brand for its high quality.
My set included:
RF Wireless Office Keyboard and Mouse (black)
RF Receiver with PS/2 Connector
Batteries (2 AA, 2 AAA)
Installation Software
Quick Installation Guide
Limited lifetime warranty on parts & labor
Keyboard Features
The keyboard is amazing. In addition to its comfortable design and special pen holder, it also includes twelve different Hotkeys:

Since there's no cord, I can type with the keyboard on my lap, on my desk, or while lying in my lazy boy across the room. I haven't utilized the Hotkeys much simply because I'm not used to them being there. The only feature missing is the light on the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys; however, after resetting the properties, I was able to set icons on my computer tray to show me when those items are in use. When Caps Lock is on a capital letter A appears and when the Num Lock key is on a number 1 appears on the tray.
Mouse Features
The mouse is such a joy to use, no cord holding you up. Its sleek design is comfortable to use and features right and left buttons, which can be customized, as well as a scroll wheel, ideal while surfing the web.
The mouse can be used anywhere on my desk. This is especially convenient since my husband likes to use it on the top of the desk and I like it on the lower pullout drawer of the desk. After using this mouse, I'll never go back to the old one. I didn't realize what I was missing until now.
Receiver Features
The receiver simply plugs into the wall and features two different channels for both the mouse and the keyboard. If you experience interference on one channel, simple switch to the other one. Disturbances can be caused by other wireless devices within you home, such as a cordless phone or a pager; however, I've never had a problem with this.
Simple Installation
My husband was kind enough to install the hardware and software and tells me it was quite simple. He simply plugged in the receiver, put batteries in the mouse and keyboard, popped in the software disk, and followed Micro's step-by-step directions.
