Pros: Good sound for the price, power, compact
Cons: Bad location for power switch, better systems out there now
The Bottom Line: I do recommended this system if you can find one for good condition for cheap. It can play loud. Otherwise, I'd recommended the Bose system for more clairty.

| stevesparadise's Full Review: Klipsch PROMEDIA 4.1 Speaker System |
I have the 2.1 version of this sound system. It produces good sound quality for the money. I mostly listen to electronic music and the bass the subwoofer creates is good enough to shake the whole house from it's 6.5 inch subwoofer. The key is in their bass reflex design. It makes the sub sound much bigger than it is. I paid $200 for this at Best Buy but you can find used ones on ebay for much much less now. There are better systems out there now. I had mine for over 2 years without a single problem. I do sometimes wish there was a switch to turn off the subwoofer, instead of just turning down the level. And the on and off power switch is located behind the subwoofer. Depending on where you put your subwoofer, it can be hard to reach and quite annoying. They should have made a switch located on one of the main speakers.
Other than that, it is a good system. I have heard the some of the Bose computer speakers with subwoofer and they sound a bit clearer and cleaner. They are loud enough to shake the doors inside my house,
These speakers will not take up your whole desk. Just find a good place for the sub and then you are set.
