It'll be hard to find a cheaper digital camera on the market that is a 5MP. But what are you giving up in order to have that 5MP at such a great price?
It's hard to define the picture quality on this camera. Overall, 4x6's and 8x10's produce excellent prints. But, there are a few exceptions.
1. Color Quality
If the light isn't right, neither is the color. This particular Kodak seem to have a hard time picking up the natural color in the prints and is easy distorted.
2. Focus
Focusing those up-close pictures can be tricky. When you push down half-way on the shutter button, it tends to make the picture even more out of focus. So be patient! It takes some getting use to, but it will come.
3. Zoom
For a 5MP camera, you're only getting a 3x optical zoom. Users that need 5MP quality find themselves really needing that extra zoom, which is extremely limited. Yes, the camera does have 3.3x digital zoom, but using that digital zoom takes your picture to below a 3MP quality print. So take your picture - take the limited zoom or get up closer and lose your quality.
Other bad things to note, battery life is horrible. You'll definitely need a battery charger (not included), unless you want to change the batteries after every use. And also, as on most Kodak cameras, there's definitely a long shutter lag.
And saving the positive for last...
1. Great Value.
2. Extremely Easy to Use.
3. Compact Size Camera.
4. Movie clips also captures sound.
