| sweetpea12287's Full Review: Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera |
The Kodak DX4530 digital camera met every expectation I had the minute I got the camera. I received the camera as a Christmas gift three years ago. After many weeks of research, this was the camera that made its way to the top of my list. My family then purchased it for me. At the time it was one of the top digital cameras out there and sold for a little less than three hundred dollars. In my opinion, it was worth every penny, even after three years!
The qualities I was looking for in a digital camera was that it had to have a high mega pixel, decent zoom, simple to use, and different modes. These were the main four things I was looking at. I got each and every one of these things and then qualities that exceeded those four.
The picture quality of this camera is remarkable. The pictures end up looking like they are done with a professional camera. Another thing wonderful about this camera is the software that it comes with. Most software Ive seen that comes with digital cameras is complicated, but not this software. It is simple to hook the camera up to the computer and then upload the pictures. It doesnt take that long either. Another quality about this camera that made me fall in love with it even more was how easy it was to understand. It didnt take hours of reading the manual to understand it. I believe it is the perfect camera for someone who isnt technologically advanced. All that needs to be done is to pop the batteries in, set the date, and its ready to go! Another perk about this camera was how it had different modes to take pictures in. This camera has a mode for nighttime, scenery, sports, and portraits.
The negative qualities about this camera are very minimal and might not mean much to a person that isnt into technology. One of the things I didnt like about this camera was that the sound quality on the videos wasnt that good. It sounded muffled, however, the quality of the video was good. The camera also cant take continuous pictures. There is always a pause between pictures. Another thing would be that the batteries drain down real quick even with the LCD screen turned off. It doesnt matter if the batteries are rechargeable or not, it doesnt take long for them to run out of life. Also the lens cap is a separate piece; it would be better if it were an automatic shutter like the rest of the other models. The weight and size also has become a problem at times. It can be a tad bit bulky but its not all that bad.
I would totally recommend this camera to other people. My mother actually went out and got a camera just like it after all of the renting and raving that I did about it. If I had a chance to take it back and return it, I wouldnt. Besides those few minor things mentioned above, I personally dont think this product could be improved upon other then that. After three years this camera is still going strong and works perfectly well. It is very durable. I mean granted, it isnt going to have some of the perks that the newer cameras have but it works perfectly fine for what I need it for. Overall, this camera hasnt let me down yet and I dont see it happening any time soon!
