As far as digital cameras go, it's hard to find a decent quality camera that performs well, while still being of legitimate price range. However, I found this camera to be quite excellent for the price that I got was able to buy it for. The 6.1 megapixels never cease to deliver excellent shots. As for being user friendly, I find it to be quite diverse in it's usability as well as in it's dynamics. The custom mode is quite capable in allowing a more advanced user to modify and fine tune the exposure, as well as various other settings with which to compensate for low light situations. However, I was just as easily able to let my sister take the camera out with little knowledge of it's workings, and the automatic settings made it quite simple to use. I'm also quite partial to the light compensation settings, which allow you to override the irritating yellow light from indoor bulbs.
In general, the camera's photos were easy to move directly onto the computer, once I decided to disregard the Kodak software and take photos directly from 'My Computer', as the Kodak Software is normally more of an annoyance and a burden to me, though it does assist with simple editing procedures, I've found it's a bit too 'user friendly' and I opt for Adobe Photoshop, hands down. Regardless, an excellent camera, once you've discerned the various controls and settings.
