Pros:All terrain wheels, extra storage and comfy for child
Cons:Doesn't fold up that compact
The Bottom Line: I definitely recommend the Kolcraft Jeep Cherokee Stroller to any parent!

After our old stroller decided it was just too worn out to be used anymore, we found ourselves needing a new stroller to replace it, but one that would be comfortable for our then 2 year old son and one that would fit in our budget. After searching a bit, we found the Kolcraft Jeep Cherokee Stroller at a decent price of $70 on sale. Not only did this stroller look cool and rugged, but it looked roomy enough for my active son, in fact he still enjoys strolls in it today at age 3 1/2 and it's great for when he does get tired of walking when we are out.

Trying to along the same lines as a Jeep product, the Kolcraft Jeep Cherokee Stroller is decked out in the colors that Jeep is known for, navy blue, khaki and hunter green.

Features

Folds easily with one hand - You can easily collapse the stroller using only one hand. Not to worry, there are actually two actions you take with your hand in order to collapse it, so there is no danger of accidentally collapsing it while the child is in the stroller. It has a locking clip so it doesn't unfold during storage.

Large all-terrain front and rear shock absorbing wheels - At first I thought this was only for looks, I mean they are going for the Jeep look, but I found out that they are for real. You can take this stroller over practically any type of terrain, we've gone on strolls on sidewalks, through the grass, dirt, gravel, etc. with no problems or damage to the stroller, I can't say the same thing for my old one.

Removable snack tray with cup holders - The small snack tray easily snaps in place and has cup holders on both sides. The one cup holder is a little larger than the other and is shaped where it can also hold a small juice box. Both cup holders will hold a bottle or small sippy cup with no problem.

Toy steering wheel - The toy steering wheel pops in place on the snack tray and lets your child pretend they are driving the stroller. This was and is my son's favorite part of the stroller.

Parent Tray with dual cup holders and compartment - The parent tray is on the back just in front of the handle for the stroller. It has two cup holders and a small compartment with lid for storing your keys, wallet or whatever else you might want to put in there. This isn't a necessity, but it sure is nice.

Reclining Seat - The seat actually has three positions: upright, reclining and all the way down. The padding for the seat is removable for easier cleaning, but it is still surface washable only, but the dark colors help hide any stains.

Canopy - The canopy is adjustable as to how far over the child you want it to be. If you have the canopy up all the way, there is a flap that you can fold back that will reveal a little window where you can look through the top and see your child. My son calls it his sunroof.

Saddle bags - I know this sounds strange, but attached on each side of the stroller are little saddle bags made of nylon, these are removable and can be used to store various things for outings.

Basket - This is great! This stroller has a large and deep basket underneath it with bottle holders. You can put any number of things in this basket, a full diaper bag can easily fit in the basket, that's how big it is.

T-strap buckle - This one uses what you find on most strollers, very easy to use for parents, but still difficult enough that a child can't undo it.

Weight limit - Now here's a plus, the weight limit for this stroller is 45 pounds. This allows 10 more pounds than our old stroller. I think this is a big plus for parents with large toddlers, after all, not everyone has teeny tiny kids.

My Thoughts

I love practically everything about this stroller. The fact that we can stroll just about anywhere instead of having to keep to just sidewalks is a big plus. We have some sidewalks around here, but not a lot, this stroller allows us to stroll on the grass instead of having to go into the street. The cup holders are wonderful too, especially for summertime walks for both child and parent.

There is really only one negative for this stroller, because of the wheels it doesn't fold up real compact, so if you have a small car, it might not fit in the trunk, but if you have the average four door car or larger, there shouldn't be any problem fitting it in the trunk, unless the trunk is full of junk.

I definitely recommend the Kolcraft Jeep Cherokee Stroller to any parent, it's roomy, rugged and comfy, all at a decent price. We've had the stroller for just under two years now and it's still going strong. We've used it at the zoo, the park and the lake, along with regular strolls with no signs of wear. If you are in the market for a stroller that will last until your child doesn't need to use one, I definitely recommend the Kolcraft Jeep Cherokee Stroller.
