vladv's Full Review: Konica Minolta Revio KD-220Z Digital Camera
This will be short, not to waste my valuable time - I spent enough trying to get decent picture from this camera. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be worth the effort. Lenses had visible coating defects out of the box. Shutter lag - delay between shots - most of the time is unacceptable. Turning camera On/Off is inconsistent, may have to push button repeatedly. Brand new set of batteries was gone after 36 shots. Most important issue - picture quality: indoor shots will take a lot of touching up in Photoshop to look just OK, as color reproduction is flawed. Flash seems almost non-existent - weakest I've ever seen in any camera, does not really make any difference, unless an object is under 3 feet away. Outdoor shots produce sharp contrast between brightly lighted and shaded areas. Practically, Auto setting is useless in many common situations. Even when adjust manual settings to the necessary extreme, too many pictures comes out barely acceptable. Focusing is weak. Overall, that package is not worth even the low sale price at Fry's - $120 minus $20 rebate. Konica must have cut some really important corners on that one. I might buy this camera for $40 and give it to kids to play, but nothing more. At current price, it goes back to store right away.
