Direct drive motor Problem or not? (Reply to this comment)

They were used in top load washer but proved to be very costly to repair if your tub leaked.

Will be interesting to see how they hold up in a front load. Keep in mind there might be a reason other manufacturers are not doing direct drive.
Vibration complaints for some consumers. One consumer reported his LG leaked water onto his floor. Hose disconnected most likely because the vibration and Quality Assurance @ the factory. (Someone forgot to tighten the hose to spec.)
LG does have a feature that has caught my eye.
Inside the wash tub the agitators bars have holes in them. This was designed to help re-circulate water onto the clothes.

LG front load washer/dryer appears to be ahead of the rest.

How were you able to hook up this washer/dryer? Did you already have a washer/dryer hook-up in your small condo or did you use your sink?

Hi - your review was very helpful. I am planning on purchasing one for my small condo this week. I am writing to ask where you found the silver model - I have only seen white online. Thanks very much!

There are several programs for this appliance: Cotton, Permanent press, Quick, Rinse and Spin, Delicate, and Wool. Each of these options is connected to a temperature setting and RPM cycle. For the dryer options, you can choose auto, time, or no heat.

I always thought a washer/dryer combo would be just perfect so many situations. And yes, how nice to not have to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.

I'd love to know more, especially about the washer. What are all the cycle options? Any other special features?

Welcome to Epinions! Hope to read more from you :)
