| ruiner's Full Review: Lanzar OPTI 2500 Car Amp |
Lanzar comes through again with their OptiDrive line of amplifiers, and the 2500 is definitely no exception. This amp is a monster, measuring over 2 feet long, with a huge heatsink on board. This amp produces an incredible 250 watts x 2 channels (RMS) into a 4 ohm stereo load, which equates to 500 x 2 peak power, that's 1000 watts!
This amp is so large, it requires 2 7-gauge power wires to get it going, and is the perfect subwoofer amp. Distortion is rated at a meager .02% and is among the lowest of all amps I've ever tested. This amp can power any subwoofer combination you throw at it, and is bridgeable to a 2 ohm stereo load, or 4 ohm mono load, increasing RMS wattage to 1000, and peak to nearly 2000 watts. This amp originally came with a 5 year warranty if installed by an authorized dealer, a nearly unheard of warranty. You simply cannot go wrong with a Lanzar optidrive amp, if you want the most power with the least distortion.
Other features include full range and sub-level inputs, as well as a built in crossover, so this amp can act as your crossover. A 14 dB bass boost at 45hz helps increase your bass power, and 2 gain level controls are also built onto this amp. If you need a sub amp, this is definitely the one for you!
